Relisted as I have now taken the guitar to my local luthier for the following to make sure it plays and sounds at its best. Fret level set and check? Restring with Rotosound 10-46 (also have Ernie ball regular slinky 10-46 or Fender 250L 09-42 available upon request)? Welcome to this rare opportunity to own this fantastic 1981 G&L F-100 series 2. Fans of Leo Fender will know just how special this guitar is.
It is one of the first instruments released by George Fullerton and Leo Fender in their earliest years of collaborating with each other and has become an increasingly rare collectible. This is the "active" model with an added second coil tap splitter function, allowing both pickups to become single coil with bass being compensated by the active circuits. It is well known that this guitar has versatility in abundance and can achieve almost any sound you desire.
The guitar has aged as you would expect from 40 years of use- there are scratches and chips in the paint and there are cracks in the nitro finish. It is all honest wear and there appears to be no sign of major damage or repairs.
The electronics and all of their functions are working correctly with no issue. Serial Number: G006494, neck date: 10/13/1981, body date??
