Daion P Bass? Made In Japan? Superb 1970s Bass Guitar! Hard Case Included

  

This is a Vintage Daion bass guitar from the 1970s made by Yamaki. Superb Bass guitar, from a golden age of Japanese guitar building. Daion guitars have a cult following amongst guitar collectors and it's clear to see why, incredibly faithful to the original and the use of materials really is excellent. Daion have been a respected name in Japanese guitars for decades.

I've personally owned quite a few and have always been impressed by the quality and sound of this legendary maker. During the 1970s and 80s, Japan saw a huge market for producing guitar copies of well known American brands.

Trouble was the copies were really impressive and scarily close to the originals. This caused alot of headaches for alot of guitar manufacturers back then!

Such a lovely bass to play, excellent neck with a real comfortable feel. Not too fat or too skinny. It's probably one of the nicest necks I've come across.

The pickups are great sounding vintage P bass sound, pretty authentic sounding. The bass looks great in a 60s tricolour burst, reminds me of a friends JV bass guitar. A bass guitar case of the same period is also included, which has some small paint fleks, but clasps all work and it's solid. Condition : in very good condition, some minor marks here and there. Some of the hardware has tarnished, but could be improved with a polish.

The frets are in good condition and the fretboard is unmarked. This bass has been very well cared for. Tuners work great and again are authentic looking. The tone control knob has been replaced, but everything else is untouched and original.

The original screws are still in the body. All in all a rare clean example that is becoming harder to find in good condition.
