Gretsch Double Anniversary electric guitar USA made 1958

  
Made in the USA this Gretsch Double Anniversary was made in 1958, the first year of the Anniversary's. It has the original sunburst finish with a fully bound single cutaway body which is in a very good condition showing a small amount of buckle rash and some normal wear to the back of the neck. The bridge is a Gretsch roller bridge - all adjustable, and with the''G'' tailpiece.

It is a very good playing guitar and the first year Anniversary's are rare. However, this was a single Anniversary and in the past - possibly during the sixties has been converted to a Double Anniversary - adding a second Filtertron with the necessary electrics etc.

The work has been beautifully carried out and with the correct vintage parts - so it is not of the same value as a very nice original Double Anniversary, but it is a very good playing guitar, looks very nice and is with its original 1958 Gretsch hardcase.
