The Jackson PC3 was introduced by Jackson (pre-Fender) in the mid to late 1990's. Appearing in the Jackson catalogue between 1998 and 2001, as a more affordable version of the USA built PC1. The hardware differed from the PC1's gold finished genuine Floyd Rose and Dimarzio pickups and sustainer: Instead the hardware was silvery grey, the 1st two years it featured a Wilkinson synchro-style trem, and the latter two, a licensed Floyd Rose double locking trem, pickups were'Duncan Designed'.
This particular PC3 has had a number of upgrades and it now more closely reassembles (aesthetically at least) the PC1. High end gold coloured low profile Schaller Floyd Rose (Made in Germany). Generic gold tuners, locking nut, retainer bar, strap pins and knobs. Gloss neck finish removed, Tru-Oil & wax finish applied by hand. Quilted maple veneer (trans' amber).25.5 inch scale length. This guitar is over 20 years old and has some general signs of wear and tear, but no major damage or issues. Minor but visible fret wear, does not affect playability.
There are numerous small dents and marks on the body, mainly around the front and rear edges, please see photo's. Some of the gold coloured plating has worn off the hardware. The pots and switch crackle slightly, but in my opinion it's very minor. The back plate/cavity cover is missing. I don't think the neck plate is original as it's just blank. Guitar had a professional set-up earlier this year and I've just restrung it with Rotosound 10s in E standard. This guitar is available to collect from Tamworth (B77), South Staff's, but I can also potentially deliver it within a reasonable distance or meet at a neutral location. Please message for further photo's or info.A gig bag can be provided, but there is no hard case. Sorry no offers at present.
