Unique carved vikingcaster tele style guitar body made from reclaimed timber

  

Here we have a one off telecaster style guitar body hand carved with various images of folks and beasties mostly copied from the Norse Gotland picture stones.. Bit of a dark ages mashup. It has been treated with vinegaroon solution and lightly sanded to distress the grain and bring out the carving. 4 piece reclaimed red Meranti back for good tone with 4 piece reclaimed oak drop top to carry the carving and vinegaroon.

The carving is set out such that it will accommodate a normal tele style scratchplate, ashtray bridge etc. The pickguard shown is not included(really it wants a nice metal one) but i can throw it in on request free of cost so long as you have paid the full asking price for the body. The routing is cribbed from a squire affinity Tele and as such it will accept many parts common with squire and mex Fender's..

Neck pocket seems to fit all the modern squire and fender necks that I've offered up but don't quote me on that.. Will require an oil or spray finish.

Neck pocket 56mm wide at the heal, 18mm deep. Please do study pictures carefully to ascertain the tech spec. As it is bare wood with no finish it will need to be kept at a stable temperature and humidity or ideally finished fairly quickly lest it be adversely affected by moisture.

Whilst much of the work has already been done it will still require considerable skill, knowledge, time and tools and equipment to turn this body into a playable instrument.
